PDF Printing

The documents can be saved as a PDF file, which is a common format for distributing documents. PDF files can be viewed and printed using several programs supporting the format. For example, Adobe Reader is a free PDF viewer program that is available for several operating systems. Adobe Reader can be downloaded from www.adobe.fi or www.adobe.com.

You can print a document - a model or a drawing - as a PDF file. When printing a Wire Frame model or a drawing, you will get an image file with vector graphics. When printing a shaded model, you will get an image file with bitmap graphics. A Wire Frame image file will be considerably smaller in size than a shaded model image file.

Printing a shaded model may take a long time due to the numerous hues used in the model. A temporary PostScript file may require a large amount of file space, but the final PDF file will be smaller in size.

  1. Select File> Print from the menu bar.
  2. Select a PDF printer as the printer.
  3. Select other print settings.
  4. Confirm by clicking OK.
  5. Select a folder in which the file is saved and type a file name in the Windows Save As dialog box.
  6. Click the Save button in the dialog box.
